The best website builders for AI filmmakers
A general website builder, a store, a video platform, or a studio built for series. Which one depends on what you are selling.

Pick by what you sell. For a portfolio with full design freedom, Squarespace or Wix. For physical merchandise, Shopify. For a branded subscription app on TVs, Uscreen or Vimeo OTT. For serialized AI drama that viewers unlock episode by episode, Generated Worlds, where publishing is free and payments are built in for a 20% share of net revenue, and the site with your own domain is from $39 a month.
How publishing on GW works
GW publishing facts reviewed 2026-10-10. Platform comparisons below keep their own source-check dates.
- Free publishing on GW
- The free Creator plan supports 1 new series a month, up to 100 episodes each. A paid studio site is optional.
- Your independent studio site
- Launch your own branded streaming site on Starter for $39 a month. Starter supports 3 new series a month. Publishing on GW and launching this site are separate steps.
- Review
- Episodes publish on GW as soon as they upload. GW reserves the right to take down any content, or suspend an account, that doesn't pass its review or the Community Guidelines. All published work remains subject to content and rights rules.
- Paid episodes
- Creators choose which episodes are free or paid. GW sets paid episodes at 10 tokens. The standard creator allocation is 80% of net episode revenue after processing; payouts start at $25. This is separate from brand-deal fees.
- Discovery and returning viewers
- Viewers can discover your work on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and GW. Send interested viewers to a recognizable series or studio destination where they can return for the story.
Generated Worlds publishes this comparison and is one of the six options. Where another option is the better answer, the page says so.
A website builder answers "how do I get a nice page". An AI film studio also has to answer "where do my episodes play", "how do viewers pay me" and "how do brands find me". The builders below answer different subsets of those, which is why their prices are not directly comparable.

Where each one wins
- Squarespace and Wix give you the most design freedom and the widest template libraries. If your site is a portfolio and payment is not the point, they are the simplest choice.
- Shopify is the best store on the web. If merch is a real line of business, it belongs there — and your studio site can link to it.
- Uscreen and Vimeo OTT build you your own apps for TVs and phones and run a monthly subscription. If you already have a paying audience that wants a Roku channel, that is what you are paying for.
- Generated Worlds is built for serialized AI drama, films and series: free first episodes, per-episode unlocks on the same page, a site whose front screen is your series playing, a contact centre for brand deals, a newsletter and your own domain — publishing is free, and the site is from $39 a month.
