How to sell your AI series on your own domain
An audience that pays you at your own address is the only one nobody can take away. Here is what each way of getting there costs.
By The Generated Worlds editors · Published · Updated
Patreon takes 10% of what you earn plus processing and has no custom domain; Gumroad takes 10% + $0.50 per sale; Uscreen charges $49–$449 a month plus 5–10%; Vimeo OTT charges $1 per subscriber plus 10% of one-time sales. Generated Worlds hosts your series on your own domain with per-episode unlocks and keeps 20% of net revenue; publishing is free, and the site is from $39 a month.
How publishing on GW works
GW publishing facts reviewed 2026-10-10. Platform comparisons below keep their own source-check dates.
- Free publishing on GW
- The free Creator plan supports 1 new series a month, up to 100 episodes each. A paid studio site is optional.
- Your independent studio site
- Launch your own branded streaming site on Starter for $39 a month. Starter supports 3 new series a month. Publishing on GW and launching this site are separate steps.
- Review
- Episodes publish on GW as soon as they upload. GW reserves the right to take down any content, or suspend an account, that doesn't pass its review or the Community Guidelines. All published work remains subject to content and rights rules.
- Paid episodes
- Creators choose which episodes are free or paid. GW sets paid episodes at 10 tokens. The standard creator allocation is 80% of net episode revenue after processing; payouts start at $25. This is separate from brand-deal fees.
- Discovery and returning viewers
- Viewers can discover your work on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and GW. Send interested viewers to a recognizable series or studio destination where they can return for the story.
Generated Worlds publishes this and is one of the options compared. The others are described as their own pricing pages describe them.
Selling on your own domain matters for two reasons: the address is yours to print on a poster or a pitch deck, and the relationship is yours — the viewer who pays at yourstudio.com is not one recommendation away from someone else's show.
The steps
Publish free
Sign up on Generated Worlds and upload your series. It is published straight away on the free Creator plan, with its own page and link. Set how many episodes are free; viewers unlock the rest, one at a time, on the same page.
Pick a template
See your series as your own streaming studio site in any template; your work fills it in, and you edit words, pictures and sections by clicking on them.
Launch your site on Starter
Starter is $39 a month, cancel anytime.
Buy a domain
Buy yourstudio.com (or any name) at any registrar, such as Cloudflare, Namecheap or Squarespace Domains.
Point it at your site
Add the one DNS record the Domain tab shows you. When it resolves, your site answers at your own address.
Get paid
Your 80% of net revenue is allocated as viewers unlock episodes, and is paid out through Stripe Connect once your balance passes $25.

Which one fits
- You already have a community that pays monthly for access to you: Patreon is built for that relationship.
- You sell finished downloads — a film file, a project pack, a course: Gumroad.
- You need your own TV apps and run a subscription business: Uscreen or Vimeo OTT.
- You make a series and want viewers to pay for the next episode on your own site: Generated Worlds.
Common questions
Do I need my own Stripe account?
You connect a Stripe account to receive payouts; you do not build a checkout. Viewers pay on your site and Generated Worlds handles the payment.
Can I sell a whole season at once?
Viewers unlock episodes individually after the free ones. Per-episode pricing is how serialized drama earns: the viewer pays at the moment they want the next one.
